Mikkel Thygesen
Mikkel Thygesen (2009)
Mikkel Thygesen ( born October 22, 1984 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish football player.
Thygesen began in Greve IF and Brøndby IF in the youth, before he went to BK Frem København, where he made his debut in professional football in the 2002/03 season. With these he made the ascent to the Super League, where he became a regular player with 30 games.
As at the end of the season 2003/ 04 was clear of relegation, Thygesen moved to league rivals FC Midtjylland. There, too, he belonged to the tribe force and was appointed for the first time in the Danish U - 21 national team in November 2004. With this selection, he also took part in the U-21 European Championship in 2006.
On 15 November 2006 Thygesen made his debut in the national team when he came on in a friendly match against the Czech Republic for Christian Poulsen.
On January 9, 2007 Borussia Moenchengladbach announced that Thygesen had signed a contract valid until 2010. Thygesen but could never prevail with his new club and came only five times in the Bundesliga for use. After the 2006/2007 season Thygesen was bought back by his old club, the FC Midtjylland.
On 1 June 2011 the Brøndby IF announced the commitment of Thygesen.
