Milan Bokša

Milan Boksa ( May 3, 1951 in Aš ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Boksa played in his youth for Jiskra Aš and Škoda Pilsen. His only station at senior level was the Prague Club SK Břevnov age of 23, he finished his career to devote himself to the work as a trainer.

Coaching career

Bokšas first club in his long career was the B- team of Dukla Tabor for the seasons 1975/76 and 1976 / 77th He then worked for three years at junior level of his former clubs SK Břevnov. In 1979 he was also an assistant coach at the Czechoslovak U-18 national team. From 1980 to 1982 Boksa was assistant coach at the Junior Dukla Prague, from 1981 bid in 1983 assistant coach at the U- 21 team of Czechoslovakia. Subsequently he was employed four years directly from the national association and worked in the Czechoslovak football academy CSFA. In 1989, he went along with Josef Masopust to Indonesia to train the local Olympic selection.

Boksa 1991 returned back to Czechoslovakia and became the first ever executive coach of a club team. In VTJ Teplice he stayed for two years and went with the team from the third to the second division. During the winter break of the season 1993/94 he took over the first division Union Cheb and led in from eighth to fourth place. In the season 1995/96 Boksa oversaw the then second division side SK LeRK Brno. He then returned to the Gambrinus League and reached Petra Drnovice rank seven. In the following two years Boksa game was coach at Sigma Olomouc. The team was third in 1998, in April 1999, the coach was dismissed, as the club leadership felt threatened qualification for the UEFA Cup, although the team standing only three points behind had to fifth place on the Second Slavia Prague.

For one year Boksa went to Kuwait and trained in Kuwait City the Kazma SC. After his return to Czech Republic he coached Banik Ostrava (2000 to 2001), the SK České Budějovice (2001 to 2002), the first FC Synot (July to October 2002) and the FK Mladá Boleslav (July to October 2004). Then Boksa was one and a half years of football teacher at the VOŠ a SOŠ Roudnice nad Labem, a school with a football classes. In the season 2006/ 07 he should bring the Erstligaabsteiger Highlands Jihlava back to the Gambrinus League, which he was not able. He returned to the VOŠ a SOŠ. Since 2008 Boksa works as head coach of the junior section of Sparta Prague.
