Milan Milanović (footballer born 1963)

Milan Milanovic ( born January 10, 1963) is a former Serbian football player and football coach. As a football player, he played league football in the GDR during Eisenhüttenstädter FC steel and on the Faroe Islands in VB Vágur.

Milanovic was known in Germany, when he played in the 1990/91 season for the Eisenhüttenstädter FC steel in the GDR Oberliga. He was one of three Yugoslav football players who played in the Eisenhüttenstädter league team in 1990 due to the opening made ​​for foreigners in the GDR football. Milanovic, however, was only used five times between 10 and 26 matches and played on the position of the left outer striker. He was also used on 2 June 1991 at the last final of the East German football cup for 60 minutes. The Eisenhüttenstädter FC steel met the last East German football champions Hansa Rostock and was defeated 0:1.

In the years 1997 and 1998 he was player-manager of the Faroe first division VB Vágur. On August 3, 1997, he stood as player-coach with his team in the final of the Faroe Islands national football trophy, the Vágur but with 0:6 lost against GÍ Gøta. After the ninth round of the 1998 season, he was dismissed as a coach. In the 2005 season he coached the Faroe Premiership Up TB Tvøroyri with which he, however, at the end of season relegation again.

In the first half of the 2009/10 season Milanovic was coach of the Bosnian Erstligavertreter FK Laktaši. On 20 January 2010, he was dismissed and replaced by German coach Thomas Spirit.
