History

The Romolo Metro Station was opened on 13 April 1985, it was built as the southernmost terminus of Line 2 in 1994, the line was extended further south towards Famagosta.

Even the construction of the subway, it was decided a breakpoint at the Southern Belt Railway (then operating only from freight) to build; the entire area should serve as a transportation hub for the southeastern metropolitan area.

The breakpoint was opened two years after the commissioning of the S -Bahn Milan on 19 June 2006.
