Milcho Manchevski
MILCO Mančevski ( in Cyrillic: Милчо Манчевски, often transcribed as Milcho Manchevski; born October 18, 1959 in Skopje) is a Macedonian film director and screenwriter.
He studied at the Faculty of Art and Archaeology at the University of Skopje, then at Southern Illinois University, where in 1983 a degree in film and photography made . After working as a cameraman, among others, for advertising films he has written and directed several music videos, including Hot day in Mexico ( 1985) the band Bastion of Skopje ( for which he also wrote lyrics), and Tennessee ( 1992) by Arrested Development ( 1992), which MTV Video Music Award for Best Rap Video won.
He became internationally known in 1994 by his feature film Pred doždot ( Before the Rain ), which won the Golden Lion at the International Film Festival of Venice.
