Mildstedt

Mildstedt (Danish: Mildsted, Frisian: Melst ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein. The village Rosendahl ( Danish: Rosendal or Hundeshale ) is located in the municipal area.

Geography and transport

History

Mildstedt, located on the border between Frisian and jütischer settlement was first mentioned in 1304. The church of St. Lamberti was built before 1200. The village community was incorporated in 1929 by North Husum Husum. 1934 was followed by a resolution of the parish of rural communities and the now eight village communities were autonomous rural communities. The municipalities Easter Husum and Rödemis were incorporated to Husum 1938 and 1 July 1974 at Ipernstedt after Rantrum. Already on February 1, 1974 Rosendahl was incorporated into the municipality Mildstedt.
