Military of Cape Verde
The armed forces of Cape Verde (Portuguese: Cabo forcas Armadas - verdianas (FAC ) ) are divided into Army, Coast Guard and Air Force. Military spending in 2009 amounted to about 0.5 % of GDP.
Military equipment
The German Bundeswehr equipped the Cape Verdean Armed Forces several times with finishing agents. The Foreign Ministry in Berlin listed in 2009: "Even a rapprochement with NATO wants Cape Verde. " Former Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy requires the same year, Cape Verde should first member of NATO's " Partnership for Peace ", then Join the OSCE and finally a member of NATO itself.
