Military Ordinariate of the Philippines

The Philippine Military Ordinariate is the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines and is responsible for the Philippine armed forces.

History

The Philippine Military Ordinariate cared for members of the Philippine armed forces of Catholic religious affiliation pastoral. It was Pope Pius XII. created as a military vicariate on 8 December 1950. After a mutual decision between the Holy See and the Republic of the Philippines is the seat of the Philippine Military Ordinariate in Quezon City. It was elevated to a diocese by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution spirituality Soldiers curae on July 21, 1986.
