Milking pipeline

Pipeline milking systems were in the sixties and seventies, an advance in dairy cattle before they were replaced by parlors.

Dissemination

Today they are used only in smaller stocks. In Germany for years no pipeline milking systems are built and also not promoted in the agricultural investment promotion programs.

Process Advantages

The benefits were compared to bucket milking a better work productivity and better hygiene of the milk, as they no longer came in contact with the house air.

Technology

Pipeline milking systems are used in tie. These are to fitted with solid milk and vacuum lines. The Melkwerkzeug is carried by cow to cow and there connected to the cables. The milk is then drawn into the cluster to the milk line and from there into the milk separator. Here the milk is collected. The last way out the milk from there into the milk container, where it is cooled down to a maximum of 8 ° C (at a two-day pickup 6 ° C). On the vacuum line, a pulsator is connected. It controls the suction and discharge phases. The vacuum is generated by means of a vacuum pump that is electrically driven. Control valves control the vacuum and keep it constant.

At one Rohrmelkanlage also a cleaning system must be connected. Here about 50 ° C hot water of disinfectants is rinsed in the milk lines and the Melkwerkzeuge, then rinsed with water.
