Lemon butterflyfish ( Chaetodon miliaris )

The lemon butterflyfish ( Chaetodon miliaris ), also called millet grain Butterflyfish, is a species in the family of butterfly fish.

The lemon butterflyfish reaches a length of up to 13 cm. He lives individually, in pairs or in large flocks in the Pacific in Hawaii, where he is the most common butterflyfish. It has been observed him from a dive boat already at 250 meters depth.

Lemon butterfly fish feed on plankton and are also spawning robbers. In large flocks they plunder the nests of damselfish that can not defend themselves against the mass of attackers.
