The Milngavie railway station is a railway terminus in the Scottish town of Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire. In 1971 the station building was added to the Scottish lists of monuments in the B category.

Traffic

Milngavie Train Station was opened in 1863 as the terminus of a route within the Glasgow urban transport network. At this time he was still equipped with three tracks, only two of which are available today. Today, it is the terminus of two side sections of the Argyle Line or the North Clyde Line, which connect to the Milngavie Glasgow city center and the southern parts of the city.

Description

The station building is located in the city center Milngavies at Fulton Road. The one-story, oblong building was built of rough-hewn square stones that are free. The front panel has seven window bays with two gable ends. The roof of the platforms supported by twelve ornate cast-iron pillars. However, the canopy does not match the original condition and was added later.
