History

Min Buri once was a province, created in 1901 during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. This province consisted of Amphoe Khlong Sam Wa, Amphoe Saen Saep, Amphoe Nong Chok and Amphoe Jian Dab ( เจียร ดับ ). The name Min Buri (fish - city ) was selected as opposed to the existing Amphoe Thanyaburi (rice - city).

An economic crisis in the years 1930-1931 prompted the government to abandon various organizations in order to reduce spending. Therefore, the area of the former province of Min Buri was converted to both the Bangkok Amphoe Min Buri and Lat Krabang, and Amphoe Nong Chok in the province of Chachoengsao. In 1957, part of a subdistrict of Lat Krabang to Min Buri was beaten. Finally, the northern part of Min Buri was divided in 1957 to form the new district of Khlong Sam Wa.
