Min Mountains
Min Shan (Chinese岷山, Pinyin Mín Shān ) is a mountain primarily in central and northern Sichuan in the Chinese provinces of Sichuan and Gansu provinces with a length of 500 km in the north-south direction. The highest peak is located in the east of the circle Sungqu Xuebao Ding雪宝顶( 5588 m).
The mountain is the watershed between the Huang He ( Yellow River ) and Changjiang ( Yangtze River ); him the rivers Min Jiang and Jialing Jiang.
The nature reserve Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Valley are located therein. It is the refuge for many rare animals, including the giant panda.
