Mine-Haha, or On the Bodily Education of Young Girls

The unfinished story Mine - Haha, or On the physical education of the young girl by Frank Wedekind appeared in 1903 published by Albert Langen in Munich. " Mine - Haha " refers to a linguistic brevity and parable-like escalation in Thematic. Frank Wedekind explained at the end of the story the meaning of " Mine - Haha ": " Mine - Haha " is indian and hot " Laughing Water ". He probably refers to the epic poem The Song of Hiawatha by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1855 ), which tells of the life of the Ojibwa chief Hiawatha and thereby of the Bride Minnehaha. Longfellow's work also inspired Antonín Dvořák third movement of his Symphony No. 9 " From the New World ".

Lucile Hadzihalilovic filmed the story in 2004 under the title " Innocence", John Irvin, under the title " The Fine Art of Love: Mine ha-ha " in 2005.
