Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (Croatia)

The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was established on 31 May 1990 and is a ministry of the Croatian government. The central task is to " maintain " all bilateral relations. To improve the relationship with the EU, an office was established in the EU integration on 3 April 1998, from the January 27, 2000, the Ministry for European Integration emerged (in Croatian Ministarstva za europske integracije ). As at 16 February 2005, the Ministry was united to the European integration and the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to a new ministry. The present name is: Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia (Croatian: Ministarstvo vanjskih poslova i Republike Hrvatske europskih integracija, ( MVPEI ) ).

Formation

In two rounds of voting was 22-23. April and 6 / 7 May 1990 a new parliament for the Socialist Republic of Croatia elected. At the inaugural meeting on 30 May 1990 Franjo Tuđman was elected according to the valid constitution of 1974 as President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister. Zdravko Mršić was on 31 May 1990 Minister of " foreign affairs " (in Croatian ministar inozemnih poslova ).
