History

The predecessors of the jute ministry was founded in 1973, the predecessor of the Ministry of Textiles 1977. Both emerged from the Industry and Commerce Ministry, and previously of the same departments. 1984, the two departments were separated in the course of reform from the Commerce and Industry Ministry, in 1986 they were independent ministries. 2004, the ministries were pooled for textile and Juteministerium.
