Minnesota Commercial Railway

The Minnesota Commercial Railway ( AAR reporting mark: MNNR ) is an American shunting railway company in the Twin Cities.

The company drives on a route network of approximately 200 kilometers. It has around 100 employees and 43 part various diesel locomotives from GE, EMD, ALCO and the Montreal Locomotive Works.

The MNNR has connection to the BNSF Railway, Canadian Pacific Railway, Union Pacific Railroad, Canadian National Railway, Iowa, Chicago and Eastern Railroad and the Twin Cities and Western Railroad and served in its catchment area different customers with rail connection. It also ensures the transport of goods between the national railway companies.

The company was born from the "Minnesota Transfer Railway" ( MTFR ). Founded on March 1, 1883 railroad belonged to the Twin Cities in contact with railway companies and served the mutual exchange of wagons. On February 1, 1987, the Minnesota Commercial Railway acquired under the leadership of the management consultant John Gohmann the MTFR.
