Minor Hall

" Minor" Ram Hall ( born March 2, 1897 in Sellies, Louisiana, † October 16, 1959 in Sawtelle, California ) was an American jazz drummer of the New Orleans Jazz.

Tubby Hall is the younger brother of drummer Alfred " Tubby " Hall. He played in 1916 with Kid Ory in New Orleans, then with Sugar Johnnie 's New Orleans Creole Orchestra, then went to Chicago, where he worked with bands such as King Oliver in 1922 and then with Jimmie Noone, played. In 1924 he moved to California and worked with Mutt Carey's Jeffersonians (1927 /32) and in Winslow Allen's orchestra. In 1944 he became a member of the orchestra of Kid Ory, where he remained until he became ill in 1956 on a European tour. He was also involved in recordings with Louis Armstrong.
