Minoru Chiaki
Minoru Chiaki (Japanese千秋 実, born July 30, 1917 † 1 November 1999) was a Japanese actor. Above all, his collaboration with Akira Kurosawa, for whom he embodied the friendly Heihachi, among others in The Seven Samurai, made him famous. Later, he also worked in several productions with the Toei film.
Trivia
In the film, The Seven Samurai, his role is the first of the samurai group dies. In life he was the last of the seven performers who died.
Awards
1986 Minoru Chiaki for his role in the film Hanaichimonme (Gray Sunset, 1985) won Best Actor at the Japanese Academy Award.
