Minuscule 95

Minuscule 95 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), A212 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 110 parchment leaves ( 27.3 × 20.5 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 12th century. It is not exhaustive.

Description

The manuscript contains the text of St. Luke's ( 11.2 to 24.53 ) and John's Gospel ( from 1.1 to 7.1, 7.18 to 20.30 ) with a comment. He has written one column with 20 rows. The manuscript contains asides κεφαλαια, Ammonianischen sections ( later hand ), ( not Eusebischen canon ), Synaxarion and Menologion.

Text

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category V.

It contains the pericope Jesus and the woman taken in adultery (Jn 7,53 EU-8, EU 11 ), but with doubtful Scholion on the edge: ταυτα μετα και του κεφαλαιου της μοιχαλιδος. Εν τισι των αντιγραφων ωβελισται.

History

George Wheler brought this manuscript 1676 by Konstantin Opel (?) To England (such as Code 68).

It was replaced by John Mill and Nicoll studied ( for Johann Martin Augustin Scholz ).

The code is located in Lincoln College, Oxford ( Gr. 16).
