Minuscule (TV series)

Minuscule (French Minuscule - La Vie privée des insectes, dt about tiny - The private life of insects) is a French animated series from the year 2006.

Content

The animated series consists of a mixture of natural images, usually the background, and 3D animations. The plot revolves around the daily life of insects and other small animals. The series does not use any language. The simple actions are underlined by gestures or melodies. Especially with fast flights and crashes of insect sounds of airplanes, helicopters and motorcycles are often highlighted.

Production and publication

The series, consisting of 78 episodes of four to six minutes in length, was developed by Hélène Giraud and Thomas Szabo, which led also directed and produced by Futurikon. The episodes were broadcast during the broadcast kd2a of France 2 since 18 October 2006. 2007, published four DVDs at Video Arcades in France. In Germany 2010, four DVDs are also published. 2012 were all 78 episodes on two DVDs on the German market.
