MIPIM

MIPIM ( Marché International des french Professionnel de l' immobilier ) a mass for residential, commercial real estate and investment promotion in Cannes, France.

The fair was founded in 1990 was the first internationally focused real estate event. This is where professionals, planners, engineers, urban planners, financial institutions, representatives of the cities, brokers and consultants from all over the world to present their ideas and projects. With at least 20,000 participants from 80 countries, the MIPIM is one of the largest real estate fairs in the world.

It takes place in March of each year instead of at the Palais des Festivals and lasts four days. Organizers of the fair is to Reed Exhibitions Reed MIDEM belongs to exhibitions in the field of television ( MIPCOM ), Music ( Midem ) and real estate organized. Founded in 1963, Reed MIDEM belongs with 470 events in 37 countries of the leading organizers of international trade fairs. At the fair of the year 2008 2700 exhibitors were involved; 2009 was previously expected to decline significantly. For 2012 19.362 visitors were counted until the end of the third day of the exhibition by the organizer. Compared to 2011, when 18,400 visitors were determined, which is an increase of about five percent.

The MIPIM Awards honor outstanding real estate projects worldwide since 1991. There are five prizes awarded, in the categories Business Centres ( Office properties and shopping centers), Refurbished Office Buildings ( modernized office building), Residential Developments (Residential Property ), hotels and tourism resorts (hotels and leisure facilities ) and Green Buildings ( environmentally oriented building). In March 2003, won with developed from Hamburg investor pool Berliner Bogen, the first German object the coveted award, then in the category office properties. Followed in 2007 in the category Business Centres the " Europa Passage " in Hamburg. On 12 March 2009 the " Kranhaus1 " in Cologne won in the same category - all three were designed by architect Hadi Teherani. 2010 received the Kameha Grand Bonn by the architect Karl -Heinz Schommer the price in the category of hotels and tourism resorts. In the category " Residential buildings " won the Marco Polo Tower in Hamburg. Since Germany was the guest of honor in 2012 MIPIM, MIPIM Awards were in the price category German projects. A total of 27 projects for the MIPIM Awards were nominated. Among them were three German projects: the Old Post Office in Hamburg, Frankfurt Main Gate and the revitalization of the Sacred Heart Church in Mönchengladbach. The prize for the best German real estate project went to the Frankfurt Main Gate project.

2012, indicated a concentration of interest from investors on Germany, which offers less return, but in West Germany and Berlin fewer vacancies than comparable countries.
