Mira Lobe ( born September 17, 1913 in Görlitz, † February 6, 1995 in Vienna; birth name Hilde Miriam Rosenthal) was an Austrian children's book author.

Life

Mira Lobe was born in the Lower Silesian town of Görlitz trade into a Jewish merchant family. After attending elementary school she graduated from high school here, where she graduated in 1933. After high school, she wanted to study German studies and art history, but it was so forbidden as a Jew. After completion of the textile and fashion school in Berlin, she emigrated to Palestine in 1936 from; Mother, grandmother and sister should meet later.
