Mirai Nagasu

Mirai Nagasu (* 16 April 1993 in Montebello, California) is an American figure skater who starts in a single run.

Mirai Nagasu is a child of Japanese immigrants. It began with five years with the figure skating. In 2007, she was in Oberstdorf Vice World Champion Junior behind her teammate Caroline Zhang and before also coming from the United States Ashley Wagner. In the 2007/2008 season they dominated the Junior Grand Prix and was in her first U.S. Championship in the senior class at first American Champion. At the Junior World Championships in Sofia, however, it was only enough for the bronze medal. Behind the winner Rachael Flatt and Zhang was Nagasu as the year part of a purely American podium. In 2010 she participated in her first international seniors Championship, the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, in part, finishing in fourth place. A few weeks later she came in their only previous World Cup participation to seventh place. Here they had located after the short program in the lead, which, however, could not hold due to a little convincing Kürleistung. Nagasu has won several medals at Grand Prix competitions and gained a bronze medal at the Four Continents Championship 2011 in Taipei.
