Mircea Pârligras

Mircea Emilian Pârligras (born 28 December 1980) is a Romanian chess player.

In 2001 he won the Romanian Single championship in Targoviste. Since 2002, he has the title Grandmaster. With the Romanian national team, he participated in five Chess Olympiads ( 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2012) with a total score of 23.5 points out of 37 games ( 17, = 13, -7 ), as well as the European Team Championships in 2005, 2011 and, 2013.

Except in the Romanian League 1 ( for the CS Aem Luxten Timişoara), he also played in the Montenegrin League 2, the Catalan League (for the Associació d' Escacs Rubinenca from Barcelona), French leagues ( for La Tour Sarrazine - Antibes ), the Greek ESSNA Team Championship ( for Panionios Gymnastikos ), the Turkish first league ( Antalya Deniz Spor Kulübü Gençlik ) and Serbian leagues ( for Požega ). Since the 2007/ 08 season he plays in the German Bundesliga chess, first at the SG Trier and 2009-2012 for the SC Remagen. After the descent of the Remagen SC in the season 2011/12 he moved to the 2012/13 season back to SG Trier. Since the 2008/ 09 season he played in the Austrian Bundesliga 2 Center for tram Graz.

His Elo rating is 2571 (as of February 2014), which he currently occupies the sixth place of the Romanian Elo ranking. His previous highest Elo rating was 2650 November 2011-February 2012.
