Mireya Cueto

Mireya Cueto ( born February 3, 1922 in Mexico City, † April 26, 2013 ibid ) was a Mexican puppeteer, writer and dramaturge and co-founder of the National Marionette Museum Museo Nacional de Títeres ( Munati ) in Huamantla in the state of Tlaxcala.

Cueto was the daughter of the artist Germán and Lola Cueto, who were also known puppeteers. Since 2001, in Mexico to honor annually in August by the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes ( Conaculta ) discharged her as the main organizer for the national puppetry festival festival nacional de Títeres " Mireya Cueto ". In 2006 she received in Madrid with the international " Gorgorito " Prize of the Unión Nacional de Intérpretes de Marionetas ( UNIMA ).
