Mirjalol Qosimov

Mirjalol Qoshoqovich Qosimov (Cyrillic Uzbek - Миржалол Қосимов, Russian Мирджалол Касымов, also Mirdjalal Kasimov; born September 17, 1970 in Tashkent) is a former Uzbek football player and current coach.

Kasimov played during his playing career for Pakhtakor Tashkent ( Uzbekistan), FK Dinamo Minsk ( Belarus ), Alania Vladikavkaz (Russia), Krylia Sovetov Samara (Russia ), Al Shabab (United Arab Emirates) and FK Mashal Mubarek (Uzbekistan ). In 2005 he ended his athletic career, but continued to receive professional football. Between 2008 and 2010, and since 2012 he acts as coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, he also coached the capital club Bunyodkor Tashkent.

Sporting successes

In 1987, he was with the Soviet national team U- 17 World Cup, a year later, U-18 European Championship. He also was the 1998 and 2002 champion Uzbek, Russian Champion 1995 and 1995 champion of the Asian Games in Hiroshima in 1994 with the national team of Uzbekistan.

In 1994 he was voted the best midfielder of Asia; 1993, 1998, 2001 and 2004 Footballer of the Year in Uzbekistan.
