Miroslav Barčík ( born May 26, 1978 in Čadca ) is a former Slovak football player.

Club career

Barčík played in his youth for OSK Rudinka and MŠK Žilina. He received the first professional contract with MŠK Žilina, where he played first in years 1996 to 2001. In July 2001 he received a two -year contract with the Turkish Erstligaaufsteiger Göztepe İzmir, he played little and after a year he returned to MŠK. Barčík played second time in 2002 and 2006 for MŠK Žilina and won with the club twice the Slovakian championship. He then moved for a year to the Greek promoted Ergotelis before he was two years at FC Spartak Trnava under contract for the 2008 /09 season he has been loaned to FC Nitra. He then played again abroad, at the nearby Polish club Polonia Bytom, where he spent two years as a regular player. Barčík changed in June 2011 for the third time MŠK Žilina, where he got a two- year contract and the captain's armband.

National

Barčík played for Slovakia at the Olympic Summer Games 2000 in Sydney. He completed two international matches for the Slovak national football team.
