Miroslav Beránek

Miroslav Beranek ( born April 24, 1957 in Benešov ) is a former Czech football player and current coach.

Playing career

In his youth, Miroslav Beranek played for Tesla Votice. His military service was made by the defender from 1976 to 1978 in Hradec Jindřichův from. Then played for Spartak Pelhřimov Beranek, before he spent a season at Škoda Pilsen.

Managed in the first league Miroslav Beranek until the age of 27 years. From 1984 to 1989 he was a member of the defensive line Slavia Prague on a regular basis and played 128 games in which he scored five goals. His career was the defender between 1989 and 1993 finish at the Austrian club SV Gmünd. In the last two years he worked in Gmünd as player-coach.

Coaching career

Beráneks coaching career began in 1993 as an assistant to his former club Slavia Prague. Already in the next season, he was head coach at Slavia and led the team to runner-up. His contract was not renewed, Beranek worked in the spring of 1996 to the third division side SK Kladno.

For the 1996/97 season, he took over as coach at FK Chmel Blšany, he led the first league in 1998. In the very first Erstligajahr Blšany managed sixth place a moderate success. In addition, Beranek since 1997 also worked as an assistant coach with the Czech U- 21 team. In the relegation zone standing he had to leave Chmel Blšany in November 2001, but shortly thereafter hired again at Slavia Prague. Prior to the 2006 World Cup in Germany Beranek got the offer to train the FC Superfund from Traun, but refused. For the 2008/09 season Beranek took over the club Al Wasl, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, but resigned from his post in late September. After a brief stopover at SK Kladno Beranek is since January 31, 2011 trainer of the Kazakh national team ..
