Misha Aloyan

Mikhail ( Misha ) Alojan ( born August 23, 1988 in Bambakaschat, Armenian SSR, Soviet Union ) is a Russian boxer of Armenian descent. He won at the 2009 World Championships bronze medal in the bantamweight and at the 2012 Olympic Games bronze medal in the flyweight. 2011 and 2013 he became world champion in the same weight class.

Career

Mischa Alojan comes from Armenia, but lives with his family for some time in Russia. He began in 1998 as a teenager with the boxes. In the meantime, he is a member of the Sport Club Dinamo Novosibirsk. There, the 1.64 meter tall and about 55 -kg athlete of EV Kravtsov trained. In addition to the boxes he plays to compensate like table tennis, football and basketball. Until the beginning of World Cup 2009, he had played 158 fights, of which he won 148.

Mischa Alojan had already at junior level at the national level great success, for he was in 2005 or paper flyweight to 2007 each Russian junior champion. In 2006 he was employed at the Junior World Championships in Agadir in paper weight. He won his first fight there against Elgun Ahmadow from Azerbaijan through demolition id Second round, but already defeated in the second round against Luis Yanez from the United States and therefore only reached the 9th Place.

In the European Junior Championships in 2007 in Sombor, where he started at flyweight, he was far more successful, because he won there with four wins the European title. Towards this, he defeated among others John Joe Nevin of Ireland and the final battle Khalid Saeed Yafai from England. This year he has also won his first international tournament in the seniors. In the final battle of the 45th Beogradski - Pobednik Tournament in Belgrade he beat in the final to Vyacheslav Gojan from Moldova convincingly on points ( 31:16 ).

2008 Mischa Alojan occupied with the Russian flyweight championship 2nd place, where he was defeated in the final battle against Magomed Abdulschamidow by points ( 9:15 ). Shortly after he succeeded at the Grand Prix tournament in Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic) a great success. He won this tournament with a final victory over Andry Laffita from Cuba, he clearly suggested by points ( 20:11 ). In Andry Laffita it was after all, to the vice-champion of 2005. Nationally dominated 2008 Georgi Balakschin and Magomed Abdulschamidow the Boxgeschehen flyweight so that Mischa Alojan had no chance thereafter taking place at the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing or at the to start Championships in Liverpool. But he was used in December 2008 at the World Cup in Moscow in flyweight and won the tournament with wins over Yanwar Yunusow from Tajikistan, Vincenzo Picardi, Italy ( 14:4 ) and Andry Laffita ( 20:6 ).

2009 managed Mischa Alojan but then at the national level the breakthrough. He defeated the Qualifying Tournament of the Russian Boxing Federation for the World Championships in Milan in Chekhov Vyacheslav Tscharakow ( 19:10), Evgeni Gusev ( 15:6 ) and Georgi Balakschin ( 12:7 ). He was nominated by then head coach Nikolai Khromov for the World Cup in Milan and showed there excellent fights. He defeated Yaya Runanga, BDI, Derenik Gishlarjan, Armenia ( 11:5 ), Eddy Valenzuela, Guatemala ( 7:1) and Ruanroeng Amnat, Thailand ( 7:5 ) on points and met in the semifinals on Tugtsogt Nyambayar from Mongolia. In a dogged fight he lost out with this almost 7:8 hits. This left him with it a world championship bronze medal.

2010 succeeded Mischa Alojan again a great success. With four victories, he was European champion at flyweight in Moscow. In the final he defeated while the young Englishman Khalid Saaed Yafai on points (4:1), after he had already Vincenzo Picardi ausgepunktet in the semifinals of Italienv ( 7:2 ).

2011 brought his biggest success for Alojan. After five victories, he became world champion in the flyweight and thus qualified directly for the 2012 Olympics.

At the Olympic Games in London Alojan reached after beating Samir Brahimi, Algeria (14, 9), and Jeyvier Cintrón, Puerto Rico ( 23:13 ), the semi-final, which he, however, against Njambajaryn Tögstsogt, Mongolia ( 15:11 ) lost and thus won the Olympic bronze medal.

2013 Alojan denied his first fight for the Boxing Team Russia in the World Series of Boxing and could win this. In the same year he defended in Almaty his title with victories among others Oteng Oteng over, Botswana (3-0), Chatchai Butdee, Thailand ( 3-0), and Jasurbek Latipov, Uzbekistan (2:1).
