Miss Iceland
Miss Iceland is an annual national beauty pageant for unmarried women of the island nation of Iceland. He has been held since 1950. In the first year was the title nor Miss Reykjavik ( Reykjavik Ungfrú ), since 1954 Miss Iceland ( Ísland Ungfrú ). It will be conducted six regional preliminary rounds in five rural regions and the capital Reykjavík. At the finals take 20 to 24 candidates in part (three to four from each region ).
Icelandic candidates take part, among others, at the Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Europe and Miss Scandinavia.
