Mistral Air

Mistral Air is an Italian charter airline based in Rome and based on the Rome Ciampino Airport. It is a subsidiary of Poste Italiane, leading cargo and passenger flights.

History

Mistral Air was founded in 1981 by the Italian actor Carlo Pedersoli ( Bud Spencer ) and started operations on in 1984. The actor sold the airline to the Dutch logistics company TNT NV. Since March 2002, the Italian postal service, Poste Italiane has a 75 % stake in the airline. In 2005 she was taken over by the post altogether.

Destinations

Mistral Air operates charter by both freight and passenger flights. In addition to the transportation of mail is, for example, since August 2007, a collaboration with the Roman pilgrims plant offered for flights to Christian pilgrimage sites such as Lourdes.
