With body and soul is a German television series that ran on ZDF between September 1989 and July 1993. In 51 episodes, the plot turned to Rev. Dr. Dr. Adam Kempfert, played by Günter Strack, who must solve many everyday and social problems of the residents of a small town near Frankfurt am Main. The potential audience was 15 million per episode.

The series was recorded from 1987 to 1992 on behalf of ZDF object-glass of the Hamburg Film GmbH in Großostheim, one located at the Hesse - Bavarian border market town. Directed by Hartmut Griesmayr; Author was Michael Baier; responsible for the camera was Charly Steinberger, the music was composed by Roland Baumgartner.

DVD Release

On August 27, 2008, the first season of ARD video appeared on a total of four DVDs. The running time is 585 minutes, the aspect ratio is 4:3, the Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono.

The second season was released on 25 February 2009, the third on August 14, 2009 - the same time the DVDs of the first and second season were reissued. The publication of the fourth season was abandoned, according Studio Hamburg due to falling numbers of buyers previous seasons.

The Special The biggest festival of the year - Christmas at our television families was published on 8 October 2007 as bonus material with the third DVD season of the series The Black Forest Clinic.

Curiosities

  • The film Eberfeld community was settled in the vicinity of Frankfurt and in the diocese of Limburg. However, vehicles with the license plate of the Hessian Main- Kinzig-Kreis were (then HU) used the most part the diocese of Fulda belongs. When traveling to Limburg, the vehicles approach the Cathedral from the north and not, as coming from Frankfurt, from the south.
  • The interior shots were actually in the Diocesan place in Limburg. As input to the diocesan however is the door to the city archives in the court of Limbourg Limburg castle.
  • The - at that time four-digit - Zip Eberfelds begins with the number 66, which was quite the Saarland reserved.
