Mitchell Shannon Berger (born in June 24, 1972 in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada ) is a Canadian American football player. He plays as a punter in the National Football League ( NFL).

Playing career

Berger played at the Canadian High School football and basketball. At his high school football team he plays as a kicker, punter and quarterback. Because of his athletic achievements, he was elected both as a basketball player and American football player in the national team. Berger studied at Tyler Junior College, where he rose to the All American and at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 1994, he was pulled from the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round to 193 instead of the NFL Draft. From 1995 he actively for the Minnesota Vikings played, St. Louis Rams, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. With the Steelers winning the Super Bowl XLIII.
