KOGA ( Koga ) is a Dutch manufacturer of bicycles in the upper price class. The company is based Heerenveen. The company is a subsidiary of Accell Group. History

The company was founded in 1974 by Koga Andries Gaastra, the son of the founder of the traditional brand Batavus; the name is a portmanteau of his surname and maiden name of his wife, Kowallik. Koga initially sold only frame from 1976 made ​​one complete wheel with the framework of the renowned Japanese bicycle maker Miyata Kōgyō KK ( the gunsmith Eisuke Miyata 1892 was the first Japanese bike with diamond frame made ​​).
