Miyeegombyn Enkhbold
Mijeegombyn Enkhbold (Mongolian Миеэгомбын Энхболд; * 1964 ) was from 25 January 2006 until 22 November 2007, the Prime Minister of Mongolia. Enkhbold was also the general secretary of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party ( MPRP ). Prior to his appointment, he was Mayor of Ulaanbaatar.
Life
Early years
Enkhbold is married and has two children. He studied from 1983 at the Mongolian State University of the tray planned economy, where he made his professional degree in 1987.
From 1987 to 1998 he worked as an economist at the Office of Public Services, the Executive Authority of the Council of People's Commissars of Ulaanbaatar. Then he moved to the department plan economic mechanisms at the Ministry of Public Services. In 1991 he worked as Head back to the city Bureau of Public Services.
Urban policy
In 1990, when the Politburo resigned and Mongolia democracy was introduced Enkhbold MPRP joined. From 1992 to 1996 he worked as deputy administrator of the Chingeltei district in Ulaanbaatar, and from 1996 to 1997 as Chairman of the Presidium of the Assembly of Delegates of the same district. From 1997 to 2005 he was chairman of the MPRP Capital Committee. From 1999 to 2006 he served as mayor of the capital.
National Policy
In 1995 he was elected to Parliament, and was promoted to General Secretary of the MPRP. After the dissolution of the Government of Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj early 2006 the MPRP Enkhbold suggested as the new prime minister. Parliament confirmed him on 25 January 2006 with 55 of 66 votes present.
On Perteikongress 2007, he was voted by 377 to 229 votes in favor of Sandschaagiin Bajar as chairman. The same party congress voted to propose Bajar as the next prime minister. The MPRP -dominated Parliament appointed Bajar on 22 November 2007 with 67 votes to two ( 87.1 %) to the Prime Minister. As one of his first acts Bajar Enkhbold turn appointed his deputy.
