Mizque Municipality

The municipality Mizque is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Mizque is one of three Municipalities of the province Mizque. It is bordered on the northwest by the municipality of Alalay, on the west by the municipality of Vila Vila, in the southwest and south by the department of Potosí, to the east by the province Campero, and in the north east and north by the province of Carrasco.

The central location of the municipality is Mizque with 2,677 inhabitants ( 2001 census ) in the eastern part of the municipality.

Geography

Mizque lies between the mountain ranges of the Bolivian Cordillera Oriental and the Cordillera Central. The climate is characterized by year-round spring-like temperatures and low rainfall.
