Mizuho Financial Group

The K. K. Mizuho Financial Group (Japanese株式会社 みずほ フィナンシャル グループ, Kabushiki - gaisha Mizuho Finansharu Gurūpu, MHFG, Eng. Mizuho Financial Group, Inc.) is one of the largest financial services companies in the world. The seat of the Japanese company is located in the Marunouchi district of Chiyoda City district in Tokyo.

The Bank is one of the 28 major banks, which by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) as " systemically important financial institution" ( systemically important financial institution) were classified. Therefore it is subject to special monitoring and stringent requirements on the level of equity.

History

Mizuho was formed in 2000 under the name Mizuho Holdings, Inc. through the merger of Dai -Ichi Kangyo Bank, Fuji Bank and the Industrial Bank of Japan.

In January 2003, the Mizuho Financial Group founded as a result of the Japanese banking crisis with capital of Mizuho Holdings. The company has been through an exchange now the sole owner of Mizuho Holdings, Inc.
