mLAN

Music Local Area Network ( mLAN ) is a FireWire - based protocol for transmission of multi-channel audio and MIDI data over a network. It includes an intelligent connection management, allowing to control a complex composite devices without major modifications to the wiring. To connect mLAN devices to a computer or a digital audio workstation, an OHCI -compliant (or compatible ) FireWire card is required. The protocol was originally developed by the Yamaha Corporation and is currently licensed royalty- free to companies.

The development of mLAN has been set. There are no drivers for current operating systems like Windows 7 /64 bit.
