The Mnemba Island lies about 4.5 km north-east of Unguja, the largest island of Zanzibar. The reef of Mnemba extends over a length of about seven times five kilometers. The island is about 10 acres in size.
Mnemba is very popular with divers, since a variety of corals and over 600 different coral fish are native here. Also, three different species of dolphins and green turtles can be spotted here.
