MNG Airlines

MNG Airlines A.Ş. is a Turkish airline based in Istanbul.

History

The airline was founded in February 1996 by Mehmet Nazif Günal and started operations on 30 November 1997. The transatlantic business began in 1998 with a flight from Frankfurt to Toronto. Then the regular service followed in the U.S. on November 8, 1998.

MNG Airlines was up to 2006 passenger and cargo airline, but has ceased passenger operations in 2006 and is more involved in the cargo operation since.

For flights to Paris CDG and London - Luton MNG Airlines flies mainly their own cargo, but she also works closely with UPS, DHL, Air France and Lufthansa also flies and their Cargo wet lease operation to various destinations.

Destinations

The company specializes in cargo flights in scheduled and charter operations, mainly in the Middle East and the Far East, the USA and some European destinations. The main airports in the MNG are the Ataturk International Airport ( IST) in Istanbul and Antalya International Airport ( AYT ) and the Brussels Airport ( BRU). MNG Airlines flies in the cargo shipping services following airports (October 2008): Cologne / Bonn, Frankfurt am Main, Leipzig-Halle, London - Luton, London - Stansted, Paris ( CDG), Luxembourg, Lisbon, Shannon and Dublin. Charter business MNG Airlines operated airports in the world.

Fleet

As of July 2013, the fleet of MNG Airlines has nine cargo aircraft:

  • 5 Airbus A300- 600R (1 decommissioned; 1 has not yet converted to cargo aircraft)
  • Airbus A300B4 -200F 2 (1 operated for Solinair )
  • 1 Airbus A330- 200F ( operated for Turkish Airlines )
  • 1 Boeing 737- 400F
  • 3 Airbus A330- 200F
