Mob Rules (Band)

Mob Rules is a power metal band from Wilhelmshaven, Lower Saxony.

History

Mob Rules was founded in 1994 by Matthias Mineur, Thorsten Plorin, Klaus Dirks and Arved Mannott. Mineur and Plorin played previously in the nationally known band Van Blanc. Two years after the foundation, reinforced by Oliver Fuhlhage as second guitarist, they self-produced a demo EP titled Savage Land Part I and thus attracted the attention of several record companies themselves. The band opted for Limb Music and finally published there in 1999 their debut album Savage Land, which received very good reviews. On the following tour Mob Rules was supported by keyboardist Sascha Onnen, which was later included as a permanent member in the band. In the following years, Mob Rules published three more studio albums, which were recorded all very well received by the critics. The band went on tour with Savatage, played several times at the Wacken Open Air and opened shows for Dio, Scorpions and many other internationally successful bands. In addition, they toured with Amon Amarth and Lordi at the Wacken Road Show.

In 2002 the band to the label SPV and there released her third album Hollowed Be Thy Name. It contains, among other things, a cover version of the song How The Gypsy Was Born from frumpy, participates in the Peavy Wagner of Rage as a guest singer. 2004 Oliver Fuhlhage left the band and was replaced by Sven Lüdke. In the same year the fourth studio album Among The Gods appeared. On touring the album, the live album Signs Of The Time was recorded and released in 2005. In 2006, Thorsten Plorin got out of the band, his part will be the new bass player Markus Brinkmann. Furthermore, in 2006 the new album Ethnolution AD produced, which is available since 20 October 2006. Noteworthy is the divided into six parts, the title song, which lasts a total of 24 minutes and was played on the tour for the album each at a time. The band photo on the album was in the monastery ruins Hude.

In May 2007, Mob Rules played their first gig outside of Europe at the Bay Area Festival in San Francisco, California, United States. In November 2009, the sixth album Radical Peace appeared on the label AFM Records. Here is content, the 18-minute play, The Oswald File noteworthy that deals with the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the subtitle Ethnolution Part II wears. Sascha Onnen keyboardist left the band in the direction Love.Might.Kill and is replaced by Jan Christian Halfbrodt. In September 2011, Mob Rules play as co -headliner at the legendary prog rock festival in Atlanta, USA. On October 19, 2012 came also under AFM Records, the seventh studio album Cannibal Nation on the market. As a bonus track is a live song ' Children Of The Flames ' from the Atlanta concert on the album. One day after the release of the album, the band celebrated this at the Cultural pumping station in northern Germany Wilhelmshaven.
