Modeste M'bami

Career

Association

M'Bamis career began as a 15 - year-old in his native Cameroon at Dynamo Douala. There he played between 1998 and 2000, before the first European clubs were aware of him. Finally, he opted for a move to France for CS Sedan. After some initial problems, he lived in and was able to complete 69 games in three years, however, scoring no goals.

For the 2003/04 season he reached an agreement with Paris Saint- Germain and moved for 3 million euros for the capital club. In his three years with the Parisians, he was a mainstay of the team, ran to a total of 91 times for the Blue - Red and achieved his first Ligue 1 matches. Especially in his first season he made with Lorik Cana a strong midfield composite, and it reached the second place in the league. In addition to this success, the French Cup was won. The following season M'Bami had to struggle with injuries and was unable to match the previous year's good performance. So he broke in December 2004 at the Champions League match against CSKA Moscow fibula and had long to fight for his comeback. In his last year for PSG, he could again win the French Cup.

In the summer of 2006 he joined for an undisclosed fee to Marseille. There he met again on Lorik Cana, who joined him a year earlier to OM, and quickly became the top performers. National

Even as a young player went through M'Bami the various junior national teams of Cameroon and put his talent. In 2000 he was appointed the first time for the A- team of his home country and was able to celebrate with her winning the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
