Mohammad Ali Taskhiri

Ayatollah Shaykh Mohammad Ali Taskhiri (* 1944 in Najaf, Iraq) is an Iranian Shia cleric and advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran for Muslim Affairs.

He was the General Secretary of the World Association for the approximation of Islamic schools of thought.

Tashikiri studied at the Shi'a Islamic Theological Colleges of Najaf and Qom ( Qom. )

He is considered one of the richest Iranian.

2006 was Mohammad Ali Taskhiri signatory to an open letter of Islamic scholars to Pope Benedict XVI. after his Regensburg speech.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).

He is the author of numerous books and articles on Islamic topics, such as Islamic ideology, fiqh ( jurisprudence ), Islamic economics and Islamic history.
