Mohammed Aman (athlete)

Mohammed Aman ( Mohammed Aman Geleto; born January 10, 1994) is an Ethiopian middle distance runner who specializes in the 800 -meter distance.

Aman was 2009 African Junior Champion in Bambous about 800 m. The first Summer Youth Olympic Games 2010 in Singapore, he won the 1000 -meter run. In 2011 he defended his title in the 800 meters at the Junior Africa Championships in Gaborone and won at the World Youth Championships in Lille the silver medal behind the Kenyans Leonard Kirwa Kosencha.

At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu Aman was eighth. A short time later he was at the World Challenge meeting in Rieti third and improved the Ethiopian record in the 800 meters and the Jugendweltbestleistung to 1:43,37 min.
