Moisés Kaufman

Moisés Kaufman ( born November 21, 1963 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan playwright, film director and author.

Life

After leaving school, Kaufman moved in 1987 from Caracas to New York City. Kaufman is the author of the play fornication - The three processes of Oscar Wilde, of 33 Variations, and is particularly known for the play The Laramie Project. He founded the Tectonic Theater Project in New York City. In 2004 he made ​​his Broadway debut with the play I Am My Own Wife by Doug Wright, for which he received a Tony Award nomination.
