Mokoliʻi

Mokolii (also Mokoli'i, Mokolii ), known popularly as Chinaman's Hat, is a small, uninhabited island of the archipelago of Hawaii and is part of the Honolulu County. It is located just 500 meters off the east coast of the island of Oahu, near the Kualoa Regional Park.

The island is of volcanic origin; it has an area of ​​4.7 ha (0.047 km ²) and reaches a height of about 70 m above sea level.

The island was once the breeding area of the white-tailed tropic bird - ( Phaethon lepturus ), broods today there only one seabird, the Wedge-tailed Shearwater ( Puffinus pacificus, hawaiian: Uau Kani ).
