Mona the Vampire

Mona the Vampire ( original title: Mona le Vampire and Mona the Vampire ) is a Canadian animated show that was produced from 1999 to 2003. It is about a ten year old girl and his two friends the same age, which always suggests the work of supernatural forces behind enigmatic processes. Then they paint themselves in their imagination of how they fight the monsters, ghosts, vampires and similar figures showers and so are the solution to the puzzle on the track.

Characters

  • Mona Parker is a young girl with lots of imagination and a love of monster movies and horror stories, and convinced that their town is haunted by monsters. She has brown hair and red bows on the sides of the forehead and is as it were the leader of the group with her two friends Charley and Lily. When she goes on a ghost hunt, then she wears her vampire costume: a cape, a red sweater and two pointed teeth. Her hair is black then, and it has five braided hair pieces that are decorated at the end with red and yellow braids.
  • Charley Bones, the Bookworm is Mona's best friend. He has blonde short hair and wears glasses. He is very anxious when a monster shows up. His costume, which he called " Turbo Man" is green and resembles a grasshopper.
  • Lily Duncan is her best friend. Before she met Mona, she was very shy and quiet. The hair covered her eyes. She has reddish brown hair and wearing a purple hairband. Her costume is reminiscent of a princess with blond long hair. If she wears it, she calls herself "Princess Gigantia ".
  • Teeth is Mona's cat, and takes on many adventures. On ghost hunt can Mona wearing bat wings.
  • Miss Madeleine Gotto is Mona's teacher. She suffers from anxiety attacks of frequent and did not care much for Mona's fascination with ghosts and Mons. She falls in love easily and preferably in the school frequently Angela.

Production and publication

The series was produced from 1999 to 2003 of Alphanim directed by Louis Piché. The music was composed by Marco Giannetti, for the cut Nathalie Rossin was responsible. The series was first broadcast from September 13, 1999 by YTV in Canada. Later broadcasts followed in the U.S., France and Britain. The German premiere began on 29 July 2000 at ZDF.
