Monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba

The monastery of Sant Jeronimo de Cotalba, (Spanish San Jerónimo de Cotalba ) was a 1388-1835 Hieronymite existing in the community Alfahuir, Valencia Province of the Autonomous Community of Valencia, Spain.

The monastery of Sant Jeronimo de Cotalba, is located in the municipality Alfauir, is privately owned and is open to the public since 2005 in consultation with the Ministry of Culture. This beautiful monument that once belonged to the Order of St. Jerome, the property of Cultural Property ( BIC), dates the construction of 1388 and contains important elements of Mudejar, Gothic, Baroque and Classicism.

Visitors admire the courtyard entrance, with its Gothic tower, Patio de los Naranjos, Mudejar cloister, chapel old church with baroque old chapter with the image of Our Lady of Health, the mill in the cool of the father Borrás ( school dinner holy Juan de Juanes ), silo, winery, stables, old kitchen of the monks, with impressive and romantic gardens surrounding Gothic aqueduct.
