Monato

Monato ( "Month" ) is a monthly news magazine in Esperanto, published the articles in the fields of politics, culture and economy. It is produced in Belgium and has subscribers in 65 countries.

The magazine has 100 correspondents in 45 countries and published exclusively in Esperanto authored article, so no translations. Monato was founded in 1979; the first issue was published on 15 January 1980. With regard to style, content and graphic presentation Monato could be compared with the English-language magazines Newsweek or Time magazine, the website rather with the satirical magazine Titanic. The main difference from the above examples is that all items in Monato are not produced by trained editors but by residents of the country that treats the particular product focus, so amateurs.
